Born on April 19, 1981, Hayden is on the cusp of

commercials, Hayden said "sure." And thus began a long string of small acting roles, many of which being TV movies. He landed
a recurring role in the Canadian soap opera "Family Passions" in 1994, and appeared in many films and TV movies including
John Carpenter's "In the Mouth of Madness" (1995), "Harrison Bergeron" (1995), "No Greater Love" (1996) and "The Virgin Suicides"
(1999).
Then came what may have been Hayden's big break - the role
of Scott Barringer in FoxFamily's "Higher Ground," an hour-long drama about troubled teens who attend a school in a rustic
setting to recover from their out-of-control lives. The show premiered on January 14, 2000, and although it was not a huge
success, gave him enough exposure to be considered for the part of Anakin Skywalker in the next two Star Wars movies. Hayden's
over-persistent agents, along with acting ability landed Hayden the role, which was sought after by 441 others, including
Chris Klein, Colin Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio. Also a factor was his obvious chemistry with co-star Natalie Portman, and
the chemistry must've been strong since the two are rumored to be dating.
This new role will no doubt make Hayden Christensen a household
name, and, assuming his performance is stellar, will definitely catapult him onto the screen in many other lead roles. Hayden/Anakin
action figures are already on the market - a clear sign he's "made it." When Hayden discovered he had won the part, he first
called his mother. He was happy with just the free Star Wars mugs and hats, and was ecstatic when he found out he would be
the next Anakin! Hopefully it won't all go to his head, but his father definitely summed it up rather well: "Some things are
more important than a tennis scholarship to Harvard."

as an executive at a trucking firm. The family moved to Springfield, Missouri, where Brad attended Kickapoo High School.
