Name: Orlando Bloom
Date of Birth: 13 January 1977
Place of Birth: Canterbury, England
Star sign: Capricorn
When Orlando was 10 years old...
... he knew for sure that he wanted to become an actor, because he noticed
that his girlfriend found Superman more interesting than him.
He thought it would be cool...
... if a lot of girls
would dream about him and if he could rescue his girlfriend.
... a two year older sister, Samantha.
lives together with...
... Maude, his very sweet dog.
His first job...
... was at the age of thirteen. He was
an assistant at a shooting club.
... Orlando left school, what the teachers taught wasn?t interesting.
He left for London and attended several acting schools.
At that time, he could be seen ...
... in several TV series,
but got his first real role in 1997. Since then, more and more offers followed.
But he preferred...
... the stage.
That?s why he declined many offers.
But he was very happy...
... when he was chosen for the role of Legolas Greenleaf
in Lord of the Rings.
Orlando started reading...
... the mega thick Lord of the Rings book at the age of fourteen.
He only read half of it, because he thought sport, music and girls was a lot cooler. Just before the start of shooting the
movie he continued reading the book.
Almost two years...
... were spent in New Zealand for the shooting of Lord
of the Rings.
After Lord of the Rings...
... Orlando would go straight on to Morocco for his role in Black Hawk
His hobbies are quite dangerous...
... if he has a sec of spare time, he enjoys skydiving, bungee jumping,
parachuting, surfing and snow boarding.
Subsequently, Orlando has ...
... broken a lot of bones, both his legs,
an arm, his ribs, his nose, a finger and a toe.
Three years ago...
... he even broke his back when he fell down
three floors. The doctors predicted that he couldn?t walk again. But by amazing good fortune, Orlando walked out of the hospital
only twelve days after the operation.
Orlando can hit the streets in peace...
... without being pursued by hordes
of love-sick girlz. Most fans don?t recognize him, because he has a complete different look in LOTR. Instead of his short
dark hairdo, he has long blond hair in LOTR. And his eyes are brown instead of blue.
His mother wants Orlando to...
start an official website. But Orlando doesn?t like the Internet at all because it?s so anonymous. He doesn?t even have an

has a special...
... tattoo. It?s the number nine in Elvish, the language spoken in the LOTR movie. The other actors, at
least the ones that are ring bearers in the movie, all have the same tattoo!
His part in Lord of the Rings...
was like winning the lottery to Orlando. "I went to a super beautiful country. I learned archery, horseback riding and sword
fighting. I couldn?t believe that this was really happening."

Next Project After SW: A road trip film with his brother Tove (they own their own production company.)
Born on April 19, 1981, Hayden is on the cusp of
the astrological signs Aries and Taurus. Most sources, however, classify him as an Aries, judging that he is adventurous,
energetic, pioneering, courageous, ambitious, enthusiastic, confident and quick-witted. Considering how many sports he encapsules
into his list of hobbies, many of those qualities would seem to be accurate. As he continues to clear his way into the acting
world, (and his new role as Anakin Skywalker in the next two Star Wars prequels will act as a machete in that task), we'll
discover just how accurate the others are. And most likely, we'll find out if Hayden possesses some of the darker qualities
of an Aries: selfishness, a quick temper, impulsiveness, impatience, foolishness and daredevilness.
Hayden was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, but soon moved
to Toronto, Ontario (near Thornhill), where he attended school. At age seven, he tagged along with his sister Hejsa (who did
a Pringles commercial) when she got a talent agent since there was no one to babysit him. When asked if he wanted to be in
commercials, Hayden said "sure." And thus began a long string of small acting roles, many of which being TV movies. He landed
a recurring role in the Canadian soap opera "Family Passions" in 1994, and appeared in many films and TV movies including
John Carpenter's "In the Mouth of Madness" (1995), "Harrison Bergeron" (1995), "No Greater Love" (1996) and "The Virgin Suicides"
Then came what may have been Hayden's big break - the role
of Scott Barringer in FoxFamily's "Higher Ground," an hour-long drama about troubled teens who attend a school in a rustic
setting to recover from their out-of-control lives. The show premiered on January 14, 2000, and although it was not a huge
success, gave him enough exposure to be considered for the part of Anakin Skywalker in the next two Star Wars movies. Hayden's
over-persistent agents, along with acting ability landed Hayden the role, which was sought after by 441 others, including
Chris Klein, Colin Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio. Also a factor was his obvious chemistry with co-star Natalie Portman, and
the chemistry must've been strong since the two are rumored to be dating.
This new role will no doubt make Hayden Christensen a household
name, and, assuming his performance is stellar, will definitely catapult him onto the screen in many other lead roles. Hayden/Anakin
action figures are already on the market - a clear sign he's "made it." When Hayden discovered he had won the part, he first
called his mother. He was happy with just the free Star Wars mugs and hats, and was ecstatic when he found out he would be
the next Anakin! Hopefully it won't all go to his head, but his father definitely summed it up rather well: "Some things are
more important than a tennis scholarship to Harvard."
